The Northern RI Conservation District (NRICD) is seeking conservation-minded agricultural producers with several years of experience who are looking to establish a farm at Snake Den Farm in Johnston, RI. NRICD has a long term lease with the State of Rhode Island and is able to offer uniquely secure long-term leasing opportunities to qualified farmers. Long-term leasing opportunities allow farmers to invest in infrastructure with the understanding that their leases are secure. NRICD is dedicated to partnering with farmers and is busy creating a farmer-driven collaborative for the purposes of decision making and building and improving infrastructure.

NRICD will select producers by publishing a Request for Proposals (RFP) September 29th.

The RFPs are due no later than midnight on November 1st.
